Tuesday 03-02-2026
Police team coach Moamen Soliman confirmed in statements before facing Al-Gharaf as part of the Iraq Stars League competitions that his team enters the match with a victory mindset, emphasizing the necessity of maintaining the upward momentum the team has shown recently.

Soliman said: "Our preparations for the match were very good, and the players showed high focus during the training sessions, especially after the recent win which gave us a big moral boost. We understand that the current stage cannot tolerate losing points, so we will enter the match with great seriousness."

He added: "We respect Al-Gharaf team, as they are a team that plays well on their home ground and have elements capable of troubling any opponent, but the Police team is a big team, and when it enters any match, its goal is clear: to achieve victory and deliver a performance worthy of the club's name and its fans."

He pointed out that the technical staff focused on some tactical details, saying: "We worked on correcting the mistakes that appeared in past matches, and focused on fast transitions and exploiting spaces, because such confrontations are often decided by tactical discipline and the ability to capitalize on opportunities."

He continued: "I have great confidence in the group I have, we have players who combine experience and ambition, and this balance gives the team extra strength. The most important thing for me is that the players maintain their focus throughout the ninety minutes and play with high fighting spirit."

Soliman explained that the pressure of matches will not be an excuse, stating: "A team competing for the top spots must be ready to deal with the pressure of the schedule, so we rotated some players and gave everyone the opportunity to be fully ready."

He concluded his talk: "The Police fans represent a real source of strength for us, even when we play away from our home ground, we feel their support, and this places on us a doubled responsibility to deliver a big match and make them happy with the result."

He concluded by saying: "My message to the players is clear; fight for every ball, respect the opponent, and play confidently without complacency. If we apply what we have trained on, I am confident that we will return with a positive result that continues our journey towards our goals in the season."
