Fenerbahçe Announces Failure of Youssef En-Nesyri's Transfer to Al-Ittihad Saudi Club
Tuesday 03-02-2026
The Turkish club Fenerbahçe announced today, Tuesday, the failure of the transfer of Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri to the Saudi club Al-Ittihad, as part of a deal that also included the joining of French international N'Golo Kanté to the Turkish team. This was due to administrative errors from the other party, despite Fenerbahçe completing all the required procedures.

The Turkish club clarified in an official statement that the course of the deal followed a clear plan and was based on the request of the technical staff. Negotiations were successfully conducted with all concerned parties, the necessary medical examinations were carried out, official approvals were obtained, and all transfer registration documents were fully and correctly uploaded into the International Transfer System (TMS) within the legal deadlines.

The statement added that the entry of incorrect data by Al-Ittihad Club into the system prevented the completion of procedures within the specified time, prompting Fenerbahçe to request an extension of the legal deadline and to contact the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to find a solution to the problem. However, the other party did not complete the process and did not provide any official justifications, which ultimately led to the deal's complete failure.

According to the club's statement, Youssef En-Nesyri will continue his journey with Fenerbahçe, thus closing the chapter on his transfer to the Saudi league, despite the intense negotiations that took place in the final hours of the transfer window.
