Significant Development in Upamecano's Future
Monday 02-02-2026
The German newspaper Bild reported that Bayern Munich defender, Dayot Upamecano, expressed his desire to stay with the club until 2030, after negotiations described by the newspaper as utterly insane.

Bild indicated that the offer made by Bayern, which includes an annual salary of approximately 20 million euros and a signing bonus of 20 million euros, in addition to a release clause of 65 million euros in 2027, was not sufficient for the player's camp, which demanded the signing bonus to be paid in full.

After the deadline passed and the offer was officially withdrawn by the club, Upamecano returned to communicate with the management and expressed his readiness to renew the contract, according to the newspaper. The discussion now focuses on whether the previous terms will remain as they are, but initial indications confirm the player's stay.

Bild noted that these negotiations were among the toughest the club has witnessed, but they ended with a satisfactory outcome for all parties, with an emphasis on Bayern's firmness in handling the renewal file.
