Eindhoven Closes the Door on Premier League Offer and Holds onto Ricardo Pepi
Monday 02-02-2026
PSV Eindhoven has made a final decision and decided not to sell their American striker Ricardo Pepi during the current winter transfer window, rejecting Fulham's offer despite previous rumors of close agreements between the two parties. The Dutch club officially informed their English counterpart that the deal could not be completed before the market closes due to the inability to find a suitable replacement at this time.

According to the Dutch newspaper "De Telegraaf," Fulham gradually increased its offers from 25 million euros to about 35 million euros, an amount that was theoretically sufficient to make PSV Eindhoven consider selling. However, the club's management required finding a ready replacement, which did not materialize in the challenging January market, leading to the file being closed definitively this winter.

The newspaper indicated that Eindhoven does not mind discussing the player's transfer during the upcoming summer transfer window under similar conditions, with negotiations to resume later. On the other hand, Pepe and his management might prefer to wait until after the World Cup to evaluate potential offers and choose the most suitable one for his career.

Eindhoven feels no pressure to sell their striker, as Pepe's contract runs until 2030. He is considered an influential player due to his scoring sense, having scored 11 goals this season despite playing only 983 minutes because of injuries. The player is currently recovering from a broken arm and has already returned to training with the first team, with his reappearance expected in the near future.
