In the past few hours, Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad clubs have moved to explore the possibility of acquiring players from Al-Ettifaq as part of their plans to strengthen their teams in the ongoing winter transfer market.

The Saudi newspaper "Okaz" revealed that Al-Ahli Club's company has initiated contact with Al-Ettifaq's management to inquire about the terms of contracting with left winger Khalid Al-Ghannam during the current period.

The Al-Ettifaq management has given initial approval to the idea of selling Khalid Al-Ghannam's contract, with the next phase expected to see the negotiations develop and take on a formal nature between the two parties.

Khaled Al-Ghannam is having an outstanding season with Al-Ettifaq, having participated in 17 matches, during which he scored 7 goals and contributed with 3 assists, making him a prominent target for top clubs.

In the same context, the newspaper clarified that Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad have also made inquiries about the possibility of signing midfielder Fares Al-Ghamdi during the current transfer window.

The management of Al-Ettifaq rejected the idea of letting go of Fares Al-Ghamdi, who is 23 years old, affirming their commitment to keeping him, especially amid increasing interest from the two major clubs in Jeddah.

Faris Al-Ghamdi participated in 11 matches with Al-Ettifaq this season, playing a total of 445 minutes and successfully providing two assists, underscoring his technical value to the team.
