Media reports have circulated in recent days about moves by Al Ahly club to sign the Iraqi striker known as 'Mimi', in light of the club's management's efforts to bolster the forward line with a new striker during the ongoing winter transfer window.

Maher Faleh said in a special statement to the winwin platform:

"The interest from Al Ahly club in signing Mohannad Ali is real, and there has indeed been communication to inquire about the possibility of completing the deal during the current period."

He added:

"The player is one of the options on Al Ahly's table to strengthen the striker position, especially after the Danish coach Jess Thorup admired his technical capabilities and his ability to make a difference inside the penalty area."

Mohannad Ali is considered one of the most prominent Iraqi strikers in recent years, due to his international experience and multiple professional experiences, which have made him the focus of attention for a number of Arab clubs during recent transfer periods.
