Al-Ahly Decides on Alverca's Offer to Sign Koka
Friday 23-01-2026
Al Ahly club has made its final decision regarding the offer from the Portuguese club Alverca to sign Ahmed Nabil Kouka, the team's midfielder, during the current period, after thoroughly reviewing the matter by the football management.

The "Stad Al-Mehwar" program revealed that Al-Ahly's management decided to reject Koka's departure to the Portuguese league, despite a previous initial approval for his exit, following the receipt of an official offer from Alverca club in recent days.

The decision to reject was due to the low financial offer presented, which amounted to only $170,000. The Al Ahly management considered this figure to be inconsistent with the player's technical value and role within the team, leading to the file being closed permanently at this time.

In a related context, the same source indicated that Al-Ahly made an offer to renew Koka's contract for 18 million pounds. However, negotiations stalled at this point, as the player insisted on receiving a higher financial compensation, leaving the issue of renewing his contract or his future departure unresolved for now.
