The Court of Appeal has set January 24 as the date to hear the appeal of the first defendant in the Ramadan Sobhi case against his one-year imprisonment sentence for forgery.

Earlier, lawyer Ashraf Abdel Aziz announced on Facebook that the defense team had decided to step down from the case of player Ramadan Sobhi, to allow the legal advisor of Al Ahly Club to provide support and legal defense for the player in the upcoming stage.

Abdul Aziz explained that the step came in response to Al-Ahly Club's desire to support its players and as an activation of its official statement issued before the first-degree ruling, in which the club affirmed its commitment to providing legal support to its members.

Abdul Aziz explained that the decision came after an agreement with the player's family, where the defense team (composed of him and Mostafa Ramadan) decided to give the opportunity to Al Ahly club's legal advisor to take on the task, emphasizing that the upcoming defense will rely on the same arguments previously presented.
