Conceição: The Result of the Al-Qadsia Match is Unfair
Friday 23-01-2026
Portuguese coach Sergio Conceicao, manager of Al-Ittihad Club, expressed his dissatisfaction with the result of his team's match against Al-Qadsia, asserting that Al-Ittihad played a strong game and did not deserve to lose, emphasizing that the final score does not reflect what happened on the field.

The Union suffered a loss against its host Al-Qadsiah with a score of two to one in the match held on Thursday evening at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, as part of the seventeenth round of the Saudi Roshn Professional League.

Conceição said in his statements after the end of the match: "In short, the result was not fair today, Al-Ittihad played a great match against Al-Qadisiyah," adding, "There was a clear penalty that was not awarded in our favor, yet I do not doubt Al-Qadisiyah, as it is a distinguished team with high-quality players."

On another note, the Portuguese coach refused to comment during the press conference after the match on the news regarding Al-Ittihad Club entering negotiations to sign Walid Al-Ahmed, the Al-Taawoun defender, during the current winter transfer window, preferring to focus on the team's technical aspects in the upcoming phase.
