Al-Bulayhi at the Top of Al-Shabab's Plans for Winter Transfers
Thursday 22-01-2026
Ali Al-Bulaihi, the defender of Al-Hilal Club, is at the forefront of Al-Shabab Club's management interests during the current winter transfer period, as the team seeks to reorganize its defense line before the second half of the season.

The management of Al-Shabab, in coordination with the Spanish coach Alguacil, has placed Al-Bulayhi as the first option to support the defense line, before deciding on the identity of the foreign player designated for the vacant position.

The intention of the youth officials is to contract a foreign defensive midfielder if negotiations with Al-Bulaihi succeed, as he is considered a capable element in creating a technical balance within the defensive system.

The club management believes that Al-Bulayhi's joining will strengthen the defensive depth and allow for a redistribution of roles, which will positively impact the team's results in the upcoming phase.

The Middle East newspaper indicated that Al-Shabab is planning to sign a foreign player from the birth category as part of its active moves in the current winter transfer market.

Al Hilal's management had rejected Al Shabab's request to loan Al-Bulayhi, who is 36 years old, showing flexibility for his departure on the condition of a permanent transfer, not a loan.

The Al-Shabab team is experiencing a decline in performance this season, currently ranking fourteenth in the Saudi League standings with 12 points after playing 16 matches.
