Thursday 22-01-2026
Polish star Robert Lewandowski, Barcelona's striker, confirmed after the 4-2 victory over Slavia Prague in the seventh round of the Champions League group stage, the importance of the win given the difficult conditions the team faced.

Lewandowski said: "In the second half, we played better defensively as well. Playing here wasn't easy due to the weather, but we had to adapt, and we got the three points, so we are happy."

He continued: "Honestly, playing in this cold isn't easy, you're playing in temperatures of minus 5 or minus 7, maybe even lower, but in the end, the most important thing is to get the three points. We still have another match in the Champions League, and I hope we win it to qualify among the top eight."

He added: "Finally, my first goal in this Champions League edition has come, and I hope things will become easier now. I'm very happy, and our performance was better today because we maintained possession of the ball."

He continued: "We talked in the locker room about having six or eight teams with 13 points, but for us, the most important thing is to win the last match against Copenhagen. If we play well defensively and offensively and score goals, we will have a great chance for direct qualification in the Champions League."
