Real Madrid star and Brazilian international Vinícius Júnior spoke to the press following the 6-1 victory over Monaco in the seventh round of the Champions League group stage at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

The Brazilian star, who won the Man of the Match award, said: "We started the match with high concentration and smoothly passed the ball between the flanks. The best moments of the game for me are those when I have a lot of possession of the ball."

He added: "The past few days have been very difficult for all my teammates, especially for me, because of the boos and everything said about me. I am always in the spotlight, and I don't want to be like that because of matters off the field."

He emphasized: "I want what I contribute on the field and everything I have done for this club to be appreciated, but the pressure is immense, and I have to be up to the responsibility every day. I won’t always be at my best technically, but I try to give my utmost effort for this jersey and this club that has given me so much."

He continued: "Playing with Mbappé and all the other players is very easy. We have great harmony, and we need to maintain it. We need the support of the fans at our home ground for things to return to normal. We all want to win, and if we unite, we will achieve great accomplishments this season."

He concluded his talk about his goal: "It was truly a special moment. I made many key passes, and all my teammates were encouraging me to score. It's important to have the trust of my teammates; we are one family. If we are at our best, we can achieve great accomplishments this season."
