The medical team at Al Hilal Club is closely awaiting a decisive update regarding the condition of Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly, following the injury he sustained while playing for his national team in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The medical team, led by the Spaniard Juan Jiménez, is awaiting the final medical report on Koulibaly in order to assess the extent of the injury and determine the duration of his absence from the team.

Koulibaly was crowned with the Senegal national team as they won the Africa Cup of Nations title after defeating Morocco 1-0 in extra time, although he missed the final match due to injury.

According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah," the Al-Hilal defender will undergo thorough medical examinations as soon as he returns to Riyadh to determine his availability for upcoming matches.

On another note, Al Hilal's management has initiated contact with Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bono to find out when he will return after concluding his journey with his national team in the continental tournament.

The newspaper pointed out that Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, head of Al Hilal, plans to give Bono a rest during the upcoming match against Al-Fayha due to fatigue and the pressure of international matches.

This decision comes despite Bono being awarded the Golden Glove as the best goalkeeper in the Africa Cup of Nations, following the outstanding performances he delivered with the Moroccan national team.

It is worth mentioning that Al Hilal continued their positive results in the league after securing an important 2-1 victory over Neom in the sixteenth round of the Roshn Saudi League.
