Nawaf Al-Aqidi, the goalkeeper of Al-Nassr Club, has taken an official step by pursuing legal action against the violations directed at him following the Riyadh Derby against Al-Hilal in the Roshn Saudi League.

Al-Aqidi's decision came after a wave of widespread media and public criticism, following his dismissal during the match against Al-Hilal, which Al-Nassr lost 3-1 in the fifteenth round.

The intensity of the criticism against Al-Nassr's goalkeeper escalated due to his decline in performance, with him being held responsible for the losses against Al-Qadsiah and then Al-Hilal, which sparked controversy in sports circles.

The official representative of Al-Aqidi announced the appointment of a specialized law firm to monitor all media violations and abuses circulating through media outlets and social media platforms.

The deputy confirmed that artistic criticism is a legitimate right of the audience, but what was circulated went beyond the limits of opinion and included personal attacks and false information that bear no relation to reality.

The statement emphasized proceeding with the necessary legal actions before the relevant authorities, aiming to protect the player's rights and provide a suitable environment that enables him to focus on the field.

It is worth mentioning that Nawaf Al-Aqidi has participated with Al-Nassr in 11 matches this season across various competitions, during which he conceded 12 goals and managed to keep a clean sheet in three of those games.
