Diego Moreira, a player for AC Milan, spoke in an interview with "DAZN" about his joining the Rossoneri, confirming his great happiness at reaching one of the biggest clubs in the world at the age of 22. He also revealed the role his father played in his transfer to the Italian team.

Diego Moreira spoke about his move to AC Milan: "When you have Milan knocking at your door, it's hard to say no. I was over the moon, as was my mother and my family; we couldn't believe it because they know where I came from. Joining Milan at the age of 22 is really amazing."

The player spoke about his idol in football, praising the legend Cristiano Ronaldo, saying: "Is Cristiano the greatest talent? Yes, by a large margin, because he is simply the greatest. He is an inspiration in life, football, and everything. Since I was 5 or 6 years old, he was the only one I wanted to be like, even wanting to style my hair like him."

He added about the Portuguese star: "I have no words to describe how I feel when I see him play today; I feel the same sensation I used to feel before, even though he is around 42 or 43 years old, and he is still scoring, playing, and maintaining his physical condition. I am happy that I was born in his era. What can I say to him? Thank you for what you have done and what you are doing for football."

Diego Moreira has spoken about Eden Hazard, Kaka, and the upcoming Milan derby.

Diego Moreira praised Belgian star Eden Hazard, saying: "He is an inspiration to me; when you see him play, you try to imitate some of his movements, and you want to deliver the same on the weekend. I want to thank him for what he has done for football; he has been a wonderful player."

Regarding wearing the number 22, which is associated with AC Milan legend Kaká, he explained: "I wanted the number 7 when I arrived, but I love the number 22, and I think it looks great on my back. Wearing the number that Kaká wore is a great honor for me, and now it is up to me to prove my ability to follow in his footsteps, after he left such a legacy with that number at Milan."

The player spoke about the Milan derby against Inter, emphasizing his great enthusiasm for the clash, saying: "It is one of the biggest derbies in Europe, and we are very excited. If I get the chance to play, I will die for my team, especially in matches like this, I can't wait."

When asked about the possibility of celebrating with a dance if he scores in the derby, he jokingly said: "No, I don't want to get injured, it's been a long time since I danced, so I'll stay calm." He also praised his teammate Adrien Rabiot, confirming that he was one of the first players to welcome him to the team and helped him settle in from day one.
