Eintracht Frankfurt experienced a change in their coaching staff after the management decided to terminate the contract of coach Dino Toppmöller, a move that came as a result of the team's poor performance in recent times.

Frankfurt is struggling noticeably on the continental stage, occupying one of the lower positions in the UEFA Champions League standings, having earned only four points from six matches after failing to assert themselves against their opponents in the group stage.

Locally, the situation was not much better, as the team settled for seventh place in the German Bundesliga standings with 27 points, earned from seven wins, six draws, and five losses, in a season marked by instability.

The recent 3-3 draw away against Werder Bremen was the final straw, reinforcing the club management's conviction of the urgent need for a coaching change in hopes of salvaging the remainder of the season.
