UEFA Imposes Sanctions on Tottenham Due to Racist Behavior
Monday 02-03-2026
Sky Sports has revealed that the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has decided to impose a fine of 30,000 euros on Tottenham Hotspur, along with a suspended ban on its fans from attending away matches. This decision comes as a result of behavior described as racist during the team's match against Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Champions League.

According to "Sky Sports," the accusations stem from three Tottenham fans performing Nazi salutes during the match held in Germany, prompting UEFA to take disciplinary action against the club.

According to the decision, the penalty of banning the sale of tickets to away fans has been suspended for one year. Tottenham will be prohibited from selling tickets to its fans for the next European away match if the penalty is enforced. Additionally, UEFA imposed an extra fine of 2,250 euros for throwing projectiles during the match.

The report indicated that Tottenham issued an official statement confirming that the identities of the three individuals who engaged in those actions have been identified, and they have been given an indefinite ban in accordance with the club's approved sanctions and ban policy.
