Real Madrid star Raúl Asensio appeared in a press statement after the 2-0 victory over Levante in the 20th round of the Spanish league, held at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

The player said in his statement: "Today was a very important day in front of our fans. Everyone wanted to turn the tables. In the previous match in Albacete, something happened that shouldn't have happened, and we felt both guilt and gratitude towards the fans."

He added: "The team performed well, especially in the second half, and this is the right way. We talked in the locker room and reached a mutual understanding. It is important to discuss matters and listen to the coach's opinion. Thanks to that, we were able to turn things around."

He continued: "What does Arbeloa ask of them? From day one, the coach has asked us the same thing: to enjoy ourselves. We want to be champions in every match, to be the controlling team, and to focus on ourselves, not the opponent. This is very important, and we will achieve it gradually."

About scoring in two consecutive matches at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium: "I’ve really started to enjoy it. I’m very happy.
