Liverpool's stance on strengthening defense after Bradley's injury
Thursday 15-01-2026
Liverpool Football Club has finalized its stance on strengthening the right-back position during the current winter transfer window and has decided not to pursue any new signings, despite the injury to their player Connor Bradley and his expected absence until the end of the season.

Bradley recently underwent surgery following a severe injury, which will keep him off the field for an extended period. Despite this, Liverpool's management believes the team has sufficient solutions in this position, according to Sky Sports.

The network explained that among the available options is Calvin Ramsey, who is expected to take the right-back position as a replacement, given the club's reluctance to make new signings during the winter transfer window.

Reports indicated that Liverpool will only make a move in the transfer market if one of their pre-identified targets becomes available in January, with Marc Guéhi, the Crystal Palace defender whose contract expires at the end of the season, being their top priority.

Liverpool plans to sign Ghihi next summer, but Manchester City's entry into the negotiations and their attempt to finalize the deal in January may prompt the Reds to reconsider and move early if there is significant progress in the talks.
