Officially, Al-Hilal bids farewell to Al-Malki with a surprise awaited at his next station
Wednesday 14-01-2026
On Wednesday evening, Saudi club Al-Hilal terminated its contract with midfielder Abdulilah Al-Malki, making the player available in the current winter transfer market without any restrictions.

Al Hilal clarified, through its official account on the "X" platform, that a final agreement has been reached with Abdulilah Al-Malki to mutually and amicably terminate the contract between the two parties.

The decision came in response to Maliki's desire to leave the team during the winter transfer window, seeking a new opportunity that would give him more playing time on the field.

Al-Maliki hopes that the upcoming experience will help him regain his technical level and enhance his chances of returning to the Saudi national team roster before the 2026 World Cup finals.

According to press reports, Abdelilah Maliki is close to joining Al-Diriyah Club, one of the First Division League clubs, with a contract lasting a season and a half.

Al-Maliki joined Al-Hilal in January 2022, coming from Al-Ittihad. He then had a loan spell with Al-Ettifaq last season before returning to Al-Hilal in the summer of 2023.
