Al Hilal Responds to Al-Malki's Request with Simple Steps for Official Announcement
Tuesday 13-01-2026
The management of Al Hilal Saudi Club has responded to the request of Abdulilah Al-Malki, the first team's midfielder, regarding his departure from the club during the current winter transfer window.

Al-Maliki's decision to leave Al-Hilal comes due to his limited playing time under the Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, as well as his desire to improve his chances of being selected for the Saudi national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Over the past few hours, Al Hilal's management has begun negotiations with the player to agree on a formal procedure for terminating his contract, according to what was reported by the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiyah.

The newspaper pointed out that the ongoing discussions are focused on finding the most appropriate way to sever ties between the two parties, ensuring the rights of both the club and the player, amid a mutual desire to complete the matter quickly.

Abdullah Al-Malki has participated in 17 matches with Al-Hilal since his transfer from Al-Ittihad Jeddah, successfully scoring one goal without providing any assists, and contributed to winning both the Saudi League and the King's Cup titles.

Al-Khaleej Club had submitted a request to sign Al-Maliki until the end of the current season, as part of negotiations related to Murad Hawsawi's transfer to Al-Hilal.

Maliki refused to move to the Gulf, preferring to explore other options that would give him a greater opportunity to participate in the upcoming period, especially with the approaching international deadlines.
