Emilio Butragueño, Director of Institutional Relations at Real Madrid, spoke during the press conference for Álvaro Arbeloa, held ahead of the match against Albacete in the Copa del Rey.

At the beginning of the press conference, Butragueño said: "Arbeloa is now taking on a huge challenge. Álvaro, this is your home, and you know this institution and its demands well. We are one family, and we will all support you. We wish you all the best."

Butragueño was keen to send a special message of appreciation to Xabi Alonso: "I want to mention Xabi Alonso; he knows this is his home, and he has our utmost respect. He is a club legend and an example of Real Madrid's values."

Butragueño emphasized that Alonso was not dismissed and that his departure was by mutual agreement: "The decision was mutual, and we thank him for his commitment during this period."

Real Madrid announced yesterday the departure of Xabi Alonso from his position as the team's coach, and the appointment of Castilla coach Álvaro Arbeloa as his temporary replacement until the end of the current season.
