The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" confirmed that the Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong, Barcelona's player, will not participate in his team's next match in the Spanish King's Cup against Racing Santander due to suspension.

The newspaper explained that De Jong received a red card in the final minutes of the Spanish Super Cup final after a challenge on Kylian Mbappé, as the referee considered the challenge dangerous despite the ball being in play, and without any intervention from the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

According to "Mundo Deportivo," the red card will result in De Jong being suspended for only one match, since the incident was not considered violent conduct, which means he will miss the upcoming cup match.

The Spanish newspaper pointed out that the suspension will be served in Barcelona's next King's Cup match against Racing Santander, while the player will be available to participate in the following La Liga match against Real Sociedad.
