Al-Shabab and Damac Pass the Financial Efficiency Gateway
Al-Shabab and Damac clubs officially announced that they have obtained the financial qualification certificate for football activities, after posting the statement on their official accounts on the "X" platform on Sunday evening.
The certification was granted after both the capital and southern clubs fulfilled all contractual and financial obligations due from them up to September 30, 2025, in accordance with the regulations of the Saudi Professional League Association.
The Financial Control Committee confirmed that both clubs have complied with all the standards stipulated in the financial regulations, granting them full eligibility to register new players during the current winter transfer window.
Al-Shabab and Damac are now able to strengthen their first football team squads with local and foreign players without financial obstacles, in a move that boosts their ambitions for the second half of the season.
In December, Al-Riyadiyah newspaper reported that the Al-Shabab club's management, headed by Abdulaziz Al-Malik, coordinated with the Ministry of Sports to settle financial obligations amounting to nearly 55 million riyals.
These obligations included overdue player salaries and agent fees, aimed at obtaining the financial efficiency certificate that allows the team to strengthen its squad during the second registration period.
It is noted that the winter transfer window opened on January 5th and will officially close on February 2nd, amid widespread anticipation among fans for the clubs' moves in the market.
