Youth Extends Carrasco's Contract Until 2027
Al-Shabab Club has settled the future of its Belgian star Yannick Carrasco, officially announcing that the player will remain with the team until the summer of 2027. This move reflects the management's commitment to retaining one of its key attacking players.
The club clarified, through a statement published on its official account on the "X" platform, that Carrasco's contract was extended following the activation of an automatic clause that adds an additional season, after the player participated in more than 50% of the team's matches during the past season.
The Belgian international joined Al-Shabab during the summer transfer window of 2023, coming from Spanish club Atletico Madrid on a three-year contract, before securing an extension for an additional season according to the terms of the agreement between the two parties.
The contract extension came after an impressive season by the 32-year-old player, during which he played 32 matches across various competitions, successfully scoring 20 goals and providing 9 assists, solidifying his position as one of the key pillars in the "Lions" lineup.
Under the extended contract, Carrasco will continue his journey with Al-Shabab at his current annual salary, remaining one of the key players the team relies on in the coming seasons.
