The Saudi Sports Arbitration Center Upholds Penalties Against Al Hilal After Withdrawal from the Saudi Super Cup
The Saudi Sports Arbitration Center issued its final decision today regarding the crisis of Al Hilal Club's withdrawal from the Saudi Super Cup for the current season, which was held in Hong Kong, putting an end to the controversy surrounding this issue.
According to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, the Sports Arbitration Center upheld the decision of the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee and decided to confirm the penalties imposed on Al-Hilal Club due to its withdrawal from the tournament.
The decision ruled that Al Hilal Club must pay a fine of 500,000 Saudi Riyals to the Saudi Football Federation, in addition to being banned from participating in the Saudi Super Cup for the 2026-2027 season, as well as being deprived of any financial revenues allocated to the Saudi Super Cup competition for the 2025-2026 season.
The ruling also included charging Al-Hilal Club half of the registration fees, administrative fees, and arbitration costs, which amounted to 46,400 Saudi Riyals, with the Saudi Football Federation bearing the other half of these costs. This decision is final and binding on both parties.
