Al-Ahli Saudi Club has signed their new striker, Brazilian Ricardo Matias, arriving from Brazil's Internacional, to strengthen the team's attack under the leadership of German coach Matthias Jaissle.

The official Al-Ahli account on the "X" platform posted a welcoming video for the 19-year-old striker, accompanied by the caption: "From Porto Alegre... to Jeddah," confirming his official joining of the team.

Ricardo Matias signed a contract extending until 2030, becoming Al Ahly's first signing in the winter transfer window that began on January 5, amid ambitions to strengthen the team's attacking power.

It is worth mentioning that the Brazilian striker was the focus of interest from several clubs, most notably Al-Ahli Jeddah, Italy's Lazio, Sporting Braga, Porto, and Belgium's Anderlecht, before he chose to join Al-Ahli's squad.

Ricardo Matias played 35 matches with Brazil's Internacional, during which he scored 7 goals and provided 1 assist, reflecting his offensive capabilities and his ability to add strength to the Jeddah team.

Al Ahly hopes that the addition of the new Brazilian striker will make a significant impact on the attack, contributing to improved team results and competitiveness in this season's tournaments.
