Sunday 04-01-2026
Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, said that he does not rely on a traditional striker in the team's lineup and that he gives Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush the freedom to move flexibly on the field during the Pharaohs' matches.

The Egypt national team will face the Benin national team tomorrow, Monday, in the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Hossam Hassan added in the press conference before the match that the Egyptian national team does not pay attention to the rumors that have spread recently, including the claim that Mohamed Salah provided equipment and trainers at his own expense. He said, "We do not care about these rumors. We have the Football Association, and Engineer Hani Abu Rida, the president of the association, who always work to provide all our needs. We lack nothing, and thankfully our country takes care of its people in every way."

The Pharaohs' coach affirmed that he is skilled at working under any pressure and is focused on leading the Egyptian national team to qualify for the tournament final and win the title.
