Real Madrid's Position on Rodrigo's Departure in January
Sunday 04-01-2026
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Xabi Alonso, the head coach of Real Madrid, is fully satisfied with the performance of the Brazilian Rodrigo, emphasizing that the player will not leave the team during the current winter transfer window, with a confirmed probability of 100%.

Romano explained that Rodrigo's name was monitored by Paris Saint-Germain during the last summer transfer market, in anticipation of the possible departure of Bradley Barcola from the Parisian club, which placed Real Madrid's winger among the alternatives proposed at that time.

In the same context, he pointed out that Manchester City showed great interest in signing Rodrigo last summer, when there were doubts about the stay of Savinho.

Despite the increasing interest from Europe's top clubs, Romano confirmed that Rodrigo's future is still undecided so far, and the picture is expected to become clearer as the next summer transfer market approaches, amid the anticipation of interested clubs regarding the player's position and Real Madrid's management.
