For the First Time in History: Spain's National Team Roster Lacks Real Madrid Players

Coach Luis de la Fuente announced the roster for Spain's national team consisting of 26 players in preparation for the World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The roster marked a historic event with the absence of any Real Madrid player for the first time in the team's World Cup history.

The newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' reported that the final roster did not include any representation from the royal club. It was expected that Dean Housen would be called up, but he did not make the final list despite being among the candidates in the past period.

This is the first time Spain's national team will participate in the World Cup without any Real Madrid players, having participated in 16 previous editions where there was always at least one player from the royal club.

On the other hand, Barcelona topped the list of clubs represented in the Spanish national team with 8 players: Joao Garcia, Pau Cubarsi, Eric Garcia, Pedri, Gavi, Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres, Lamine Yamal.
