The Saudi Football Federation strongly condemned the statements made by the President of the Palestinian Football Federation, describing them as irresponsible and containing unacceptable content that undermines the essence of sportsmanship.

The statement clarified that those remarks included unacceptable insinuations and allegations, in which the name of the Saudi national team was mentioned in a context unrelated to sports and not reflective of its competitive values.

The Saudi Football Federation indicated that these statements were made during the participation of the Saudi national team in the recent Arab Cup, which was held in the sister country of Qatar under the supervision and organization of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).

The statement affirmed the Saudi Federation's full respect for the leaders of Palestinian football, while simultaneously emphasizing its rejection of any accusations or insinuations that question the integrity of the teams or the fairness of the competitions.

The Saudi Federation called for refraining from anything that could provoke the sports public opinion or harm the image of the Arab competitions, which aim to promote genuine sportsmanship.

The statement concluded by emphasizing that the Arab championships were established to promote love and brotherhood among the fraternal Arab peoples, not to involve disputes or statements that undermine their noble objectives.
