After being crowned the Best Player in the World for 2025 at the Globe Soccer Awards held during the Dubai Sports Conference in the UAE, Frenchman Ousmane Dembélé spoke about his journey this year and the challenges he faced.

Dembélé said: "I would like to thank everyone who voted for me, my teammates, the president who came to find me in Barcelona, my sporting director Luis Campos, as well as my coach Luis Enrique, and also my family and best friends who are here."

He continued: "Winning the Champions League was not easy. We started the first half of the season poorly, but every player improved their performance, and in the end, we managed to win."

Dembélé added, "I faced difficult moments in my career due to injuries, but I always knew my moment would come."

He concluded his speech by saying: "Winning this award represents the culmination of all the effort exerted throughout the season, and it motivates me to continue working and giving my best to achieve more with my team."
