The Best Player in the World award witnessed strong competition among Ousmane Dembélé (Paris Saint-Germain), Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid), Lamine Yamal (Barcelona), Raphinha (Barcelona), and Vitinha (Paris Saint-Germain), after Mohamed Salah of Liverpool was initially on the list but later excluded from the final nominations.
According to the official announcement, Ousmane Dembélé was crowned Best Player in the World for 2025, adding this award to his record after previously winning the Ballon d'Or and The Best award.
