Globe Soccer Awards revealed the winner of the Best Player in the World for 2025 during the award ceremony currently held in Dubai.

The annual Globe Soccer Awards ceremony honors the best in the world of football across multiple categories, including Best Player, Best Female Player, Best Men's Team, Best Women's Team, Best Coach, Best Midfielder, Best Forward, Best Rising Player, Best Agent, Best Sporting Director, and Best Player in the Middle East.

The Best Player in the World award witnessed strong competition among Ousmane Dembélé (Paris Saint-Germain), Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid), Lamine Yamal (Barcelona), Raphinha (Barcelona), and Vitinha (Paris Saint-Germain), after Mohamed Salah of Liverpool was initially on the list but later excluded from the final nominations.

According to the official announcement, Ousmane Dembélé was crowned Best Player in the World for 2025, adding this award to his record after previously winning the Ballon d'Or and The Best award.

Dembélé played a significant role in leading Paris Saint-Germain to achieve a historic sextuple last season, which included the French League, French Cup, French Super Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and Intercontinental Cup.

It is worth noting that Vinícius Júnior, Real Madrid star, won the Best Player in the World award from Globe Soccer Awards in 2024, before Dembélé stole the spotlight in the current edition.
