Al-Ittihad Settles the Debate Over Mitaj's Future
Riyadh Al-Muzhir, the official spokesperson for Al-Ittihad Club, denied the rumors circulating about the club's intention to release the Albanian professional Mario Mitaj, the left-back of the first football team, in the near future.
Al-Muzher confirmed in his statements on the program "Action with Walid" that the rumors about Mario Mitaj leaving Al-Ittihad are "completely untrue," pointing out that there are several false reports circulating as the winter transfer window approaches.
He added: "There are some inaccurate rumors circulating about the Al-Ittihad players, including those concerning the release of Mario Mitaj, and these rumors are baseless."
Mario Mitaj is considered one of the key players in the Al-Ittihad lineup, primarily occupying the left-back position in the Roshn Saudi League and the AFC Champions League.
Press reports had claimed that Al-Ittihad's management was leaning towards approving the sale of the remaining period of the 22-year-old Albanian player's contract during the upcoming winter transfer window. However, Al-Muzhir's statements settled the debate and denied those claims.
