New Uncertainty Surrounds Neves' Future with Al Hilal

Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, head of Saudi club Al-Hilal, spoke about the uncertainty surrounding the future of Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves as his contract approaches its end in the summer of 2026.

During the past period, Al-Hilal's management entered into advanced negotiations with Neves to extend his contract, but the player has not yet made a final decision, amid rumors linking him to a return to European football.

Inzaghi received a direct question during the pre-match press conference for the Al Hilal vs. Al Khaleej game regarding Neves' future and the possibility of him continuing with the blue team in the upcoming phase.

The Al Hilal coach explained that the situation will become clearer in the coming period, emphasizing that Neves is an important figure in the locker room and one of the influential leaders in the team.

Inzaghi said that the player is experiencing a high level of focus with Al-Hilal and possesses special abilities, emphasizing that his personal desire as a coach is for Neves to remain with the team.

Robin Neves joined Al Hilal in the summer of 2023, coming from English club Wolverhampton on a three-season contract, and has participated in 107 matches across all competitions.

The Portuguese midfielder scored 14 goals and provided 25 assists, becoming a key pillar in Al Hilal's lineup since his arrival.
