Journalist Matteo Moretto revealed that coach Max Allegri personally contacted defender Federico Gatti of Juventus, confirming that the player is his number one choice to strengthen the back line.

However, Moretto pointed out that there is a division within Milan's management about proceeding with signing Gatti or not, which is currently hindering the resolution of the matter.

He also emphasized that there are no talks at all with Juventus regarding the player, considering that discussions about exchange deals like Ritchie/Gatti or others are unhelpful and not based on reality at this stage.

It is worth mentioning that Gatti is 27 years old and has a progressive experience in Italian football, having made a name for himself with Frosinone before moving to Juventus, where he succeeded in establishing himself as one of the defensive line elements, benefiting from his physical strength.
