Latest Updates on Renewing El Shahat and Abdelkader's Contracts with Al Ahly
Sports journalist Ahmed Shobeir, former Al Ahly star, revealed the latest updates on the contract renewals of Al Ahly duo Hussein El Shahat and Ahmed Abdelkader with the club.
Shobeir said in statements on his radio program on "On Sport" radio: "Al Ahly made an offer to the duo, but it was not well received by them. El-Shahat is requesting a two-year contract for a specific amount, considering that it might be his last contract with the club."
He added: "Both Hussein El Shahat and Ahmed Abdel Kader have higher financial demands, and Al Ahly is waiting for some flexibility from them before making the final decision. Therefore, the negotiations have been temporarily halted."
Shobier confirmed receiving offers from the Libyan league to sign Hussein El Shahat, noting that the coming days will reveal new developments regarding his situation.
As for the European offers made for Ahmed Nabil Koka, the star of the Red team, Shobier said: "An offer of $200,000 was made to Al Ahly to sell Koka, and the management agreed, but Yves Touré refused, emphasizing that the team needs the player technically on the field despite only six months remaining on his contract."
