Dembélé has recently suffered from limited appearances after returning from a long hamstring injury, before experiencing a health setback that kept him out of the match against Metz. He only participated as a substitute in the Intercontinental Cup final against Flamengo, a situation the player openly expressed his discomfort with, especially given his desire for more playing time to fully regain his fitness.

Despite the coaching staff's caution in dealing with the player, his season has not fully started due to his physical problems. He has played 14 matches in all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 4 assists, with a starting appearance in the French Cup against Fontenay, where he contributed a goal and an assist.

According to the newspaper "Le Parisien," Paris Saint-Germain's management informed Dembélé of their desire to extend his contract, but under a new system that relies on a fixed portion of the salary, supplemented by bonuses and variables linked to the number of matches and actual participation.

This condition is a point of reservation for the player, given his repeated injuries, especially since he previously received a large financial bonus after winning the Ballon d'Or, which was agreed upon when he joined the club in the summer of 2023. This makes the renewal file open to all possibilities in the coming period.
