Inzaghi Prepares a Big Surprise for Al-Hilal's Trio in Winter
Tuesday 23-12-2025
Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, head of Saudi club Al-Hilal, announced his plans to let go of three players from the team during the upcoming winter transfer window, aiming to refresh the blue squad.

Al-Yaum newspaper of Saudi Arabia confirmed that the French player Mathieu Batouillet will be the first to leave next January, after varying periods of limited performance within Al-Hilal's lineup.

The report added that the coach intends to loan Abdel Karim Drasi, who joined the team last summer after his contract with Al-Ahly ended, due to not benefiting from the player's services recently.

The report indicated that Brazilian Caio Cesar will be the third player to leave Al Hilal during the winter transfer window, despite the recurring injuries of Uruguayan Darwin Núñez, whom Inzaghi has decided to keep on the team.

This decision comes after Al Hilal's 1-0 victory over Sharjah of the UAE, with the only goal scored by the Brazilian Malcolm, in the sixth round of the AFC Champions League Elite. This win strengthened the team's position at the top of their group.

Inzaghi aims with these changes to restore balance to the team and improve his options across all positions, especially given the significant pressures awaiting Al-Azraq in the Saudi League and the AFC Champions League competitions.

The newspaper also explained that Al-Hilal's management supported Inzaghi's renewal policy, considering that the departure of the three players would give the team an opportunity to attract new players who better align with the coach's future plan.

Al Hilal fans are eagerly following the details of the winter transfer market, amid expectations of significant changes to the team's lineup before the remainder of the current season.
