With a Clean Five-Goal Victory, Al-Ahli Thrashes Iraqi Police in the Elite Asian Championship

Saudi club Al-Ahli asserted its dominance strongly after achieving a crushing victory over its host, Iraqi Police, in the sixth round of the Elite Asian Champions League.

Al-Ahli started the match with high focus, as Turkish player Merih Demiral opened the scoring in the 30th minute, announcing the green team's lead before the end of the first half.

At the start of the second half, Al-Raqi continued its pressure, and Englishman Ivan Toney succeeded in doubling the lead by scoring the second goal in the 56th minute.

Al-Ahli's attacking superiority continued as Brazilian Galeno added the third goal in the 72nd minute, bringing his team closer to an early decision in the match.

The flood of goals did not stop, as Saleh Abu Al-Shamat scored the fourth goal in the 81st minute, before Ziyad Al-Juhani sealed the fifth goal in the 86th minute.

With this victory, Al-Ahli raised its points tally to 13, occupying third place in Group B of the Elite Asian Champions League.

On the other hand, Iraqi Police's points remained at one, placing them eleventh, while Al-Ahli played the match without the trio Edward Mendy, Riyad Mahrez, and Franck Kessié, who were busy participating with their national teams in the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
