Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, the head coach of Al Hilal club, has made a surprising decision regarding the French goalkeeper Mathieu Baudry, who joined the team during the last summer transfer window.

The program "Mala'eb" on Al Arabiya FM revealed that Inzaghi has decided to completely exclude Batouiyeh from his technical plans for the upcoming period.

The source explained that the Al Hilal coach is not convinced by the French goalkeeper's level, neither in terms of his ability to compensate for the absence of the Moroccan Yassine Bono nor to occupy a foreign player slot on the roster.

Accordingly, Enzagi decided not to include Batouyah in the list of eight foreign players participating in the upcoming matches.

This decision comes despite Yassine Bounou's absence from Al Hilal, due to his participation with the Moroccan national team in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Batouyah, 21 years old, joined Al Hilal in the summer of 2023 from French club Olympique Lyonnais, on a contract lasting until June 2027.

The French goalkeeper participated in only one match with Al Hilal, against the Iraqi Police team, which ended with a 4-0 victory for Al Hilal in the AFC Champions League Elite.

As part of the preparations for the return of the Roshn Saudi League after the Arab Cup, Inzaghi relied on Mohammed Al-Rubaie in the friendly match against Neom, which Al-Hilal lost 2-1.
