A Decisive Plan for Al-Ittihad to Renew Kanté's Contract
Wednesday 17-12-2025
Officials of the Saudi club Al-Ittihad are planning to open discussions for extending the contract of the French midfielder N'Golo Kanté, as his current contract is set to expire next June.

The club aims to keep Kanté for an additional season, as the management is convinced of his important role on the field, despite his advancing age compared to the rest of the team members.

Al-Yaum Saudi newspaper reported that Al-Ittihad management prefers to renew the contract for only one year, as part of a technical policy that considers the player's readiness and physical continuity.

The newspaper explained that negotiations between the two parties are still ongoing at the moment, without reaching a final agreement, leaving the player's future open to several possibilities.

N'Golo Kanté has been a key player in Al-Ittihad's lineup since joining the team during the summer transfer window of 2023.

During the current season, the French international has participated in 16 matches wearing the Al-Ittihad jersey, during which he managed to score one goal, without providing any assists.
