Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso appeared at a press conference to talk about tomorrow's match against Deportivo Alavés in the sixteenth round of the Spanish league "La Liga" at the Mendizorrotza stadium.

The coach said: "Despite the absences, we have enough strength, and we have a good lineup, and eleven Real Madrid players will play tomorrow's match with all their might. I am sure that desire, fighting spirit, and commitment will be present to achieve victory. It is an important match; before the break, we have the last three matches, and tomorrow, the eleven players who start the match will give their best effort."

He added about Kylian Mbappé's readiness: "Mbappé has returned and is ready to play. We will decide tomorrow. It is good news, of course."

He continued: "I always tell you that the most important thing is the club. Tomorrow we have a very important match given the current situation. We want to change our series of results, and we face a strong opponent. That is what is at stake tomorrow."

He emphasized: "We performed well in many aspects (in the last match). We already analyzed that in the press conference following the match; there is no need to dwell on a match that has already ended. There are positive aspects we need to move forward, and the very near future is tomorrow in Vitoria."

He added: "I have been in the world of football for many years, and nothing that happens surprises me. These are natural things that will certainly happen again in the future. We have to face them responsibly towards the position and what we represent. Then, we work to change the situation. This is not something that surprises me much."

Regarding whether he spoke with Pérez after the match against City: "Since I arrived here, I have talked a lot with the president and the club."

He followed: "Are you suffering from the absence of a leader in the dressing room? We are one team, in good times and bad. If we can change the situation, we will become stronger. There are experienced players in the dressing room; I have always felt that the relationship in the dressing room is good, and that we are all in the same boat, and we need this common goal."

He continued: "We have three suspended players, and this is part of the game. We do not have many players available, so we completed the lineup with Castilla players. We will play tomorrow's match with the ready players."

He stated: "I have worked in football for a long time. In Spain, two coaches have been dismissed so far, and I am sure the number was higher in the past. Football requires a lot of effort, and I think dismissals were more frequent in previous eras."

He concluded: "I think Arbeloa is qualified to coach Real Madrid; he is doing his job well, but we have not talked about the future."
