Madrid: Ayman Yahya's Stop for Knee Injury Treatment
Thursday 11-12-2025
The medical team of the Saudi national team decided to subject Ayman Yahya to a thorough scan after he sustained a knee cartilage injury during his participation with the Green Falcons against the Moroccan national team, which raised concerns for Al-Nassr club and the national team's coaching staff.

The player's exclusion from the Green Team's camp for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 came by decision of coach Hervé Renard, after reviewing the medical report issued by the national team's medical staff, which confirmed the need for a more specialized evaluation.

The 24-year-old Al-Nassr star will leave for the Spanish capital, Madrid, to undergo a comprehensive medical examination on Friday morning at one of the specialized medical centers, according to what was published by Al-Riyadiyah newspaper this evening.

Yahya participated in the first two matches of the national team against Oman and the Comoros Islands, playing for more than seventy minutes in each. He then came on as a substitute against Morocco just a few minutes before the end of the match and felt pain in his knee.

The Saudi national team continues its preparations to face Palestine at Lusail Stadium, in the quarterfinals of the Arab Cup, in a match expected to witness a fierce battle for a spot in the semifinals.

Al-Akhdar qualified after securing two victories against Oman and the Comoros Islands, while suffering a single defeat to Morocco by a goal to nil, confidently securing their place in the next round despite unexpected injuries.
