Zamalek club officials have finalized their stance on the departure of Mohamed Awad, the first team's goalkeeper, during the upcoming winter transfer window, in light of recent developments within the team and the player receiving several offers.

According to the website "Youm7," the Zamalek management does not object to Mohamed Awad's departure in January, provided they receive a suitable financial compensation, especially since the team has multiple options for the goalkeeper position.

The report indicated that Awad's potential departure would provide an opportunity for Mahdi Suleiman to remain and continue competing with Mohamed Sobhi for the position of first-choice goalkeeper in the upcoming period, which aligns with the coaching staff's requirements.

This move comes after the dispute that arose between Mohamed Awad and Ahmed Abdel Raouf, Zamalek's coach, before the match against South Africa's Kaizer Chiefs in the Confederation Cup, following the goalkeeper's refusal to sit on the bench, which led to a financial penalty being imposed on him. Meanwhile, the management is currently reviewing the offers received in preparation for making a final decision in the coming days.
