Al-Faraj Returns to Neom Training After Long Absence
Salman Al-Faraj resumed group training sessions with the Neom team after completing his rehabilitation program following the surgery he underwent last October due to a torn knee cruciate ligament.
Neom Club confirmed the player's return through its account on the "X" platform, describing him as "the maestro," and shared photos of the player participating in group training sessions with the team.
The captain of NEOM was injured during the Saudi national team's training camp before the match against Australia in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, which kept him off the field for several months.
The team is preparing for two friendly matches against Kuwait's Qadsia and Saudi Arabia's Al-Kholood on December 11 and 14, as part of their preparations to resume league matches following the conclusion of the Arab Cup.
Neom will play three official matches in December: against Al-Fayha in Al-Majma'ah, and against Al-Najma and Al-Ittihad in Tabuk, with hopes of delivering a strong performance following the return of its key players.
The training sessions also see the return of former Egyptian international Ahmed Hegazi and Alaa Al-Hajji, along with the readiness of Alexandre Lacazette, while the French coach Christophe Galtier hopes for Mohammed Al-Breik to participate after completing his treatment program.
