Globe Soccer 2025: Salah in the Final List for Best Player and Best Forward Awards
Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, Liverpool player, has been included in the final list for the 2025 Globe Soccer Awards for Best Player in the World and Best Forward in the World, following the conclusion of the public voting phase and the announcement of the shortlisted candidates.
Salah had been included in the initial list of award nominees before securing his place in the final list alongside 14 players competing for the Best Player in the World award. Additionally, he was included in the final list of 8 players nominated for the Best Forward in the World award.
Salah's nomination came based on his exceptional past season with Liverpool, where he helped the team win the Premier League title, topped the Premier League scoring chart with 29 goals, and also earned the best playmaker award by providing 18 assists. On the international level, he played a pivotal role in leading the Egyptian national team to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 World Cup.
The Globe Soccer Awards ceremony is scheduled to be held in Dubai on December 28th.
