Kuwait Goalkeeper: Egypt National Team is One of the Best Arab Teams and We Wished to Win Against Them
Sulaiman Abdul Ghafoor, the goalkeeper of the Kuwait national team, praised the performance of his teammates against the Egypt national team in the Arab Cup.
The Kuwait national team drew 1-1 against Egypt's second team in a match held this evening, Tuesday, in the first round of the group stage of the Arab Cup.
Abdel Ghafour said in a television interview after the match: "Congratulations, thank God for this point. Although our ambition was to win throughout the game, small details led to the draw."
He added: "The Egyptian national team is one of the best Arab teams and the leader of Africa, featuring players of a high European level. However, everyone knows our strength as well, and we had hoped to win, but luck was not on our side."
He concluded his statements: "The Egyptian national team had an advantage before the match because of their reputation and name, but on the field, it was 11 against 11 players, and there was no advantage. In fact, we delivered an outstanding performance."
