Al Hilal Targets Inter Milan Defender to Strengthen Defense with Inzaghi's Blessing
Sunday 30-11-2025
Al Hilal Saudi Club sought to strengthen its defense by including Francesco Acerbi, the Italian Inter Milan defender, on its list of targets, following the approval of the team's Italian coach, Simone Inzaghi.

It is worth noting that Acerbi's contract with Inter Milan, who is 37 years old, expires in the summer of 2026, and the management does not intend to renew it, preferring to bring in fresh talent to strengthen the team with young players.

Inzaghi sees Acerbi as an ideal choice to strengthen Al Hilal's defense, due to his extensive experience and his understanding of the playing style that he can implement alongside the Senegalese Kalidou Koulibaly in the central defense.

The player will be a valuable experienced addition to the Roshn League, as he can guide young players and contribute to building a cohesive defensive system, especially in major matches and continental competitions.

On the other hand, Inter does not object to Acerbi's departure, as he is no longer a key player this season under coach Christian Kivuo, who is giving opportunities to younger defenders.

Al Hilal is betting on offering the player a final, lucrative contract—possibly the largest of his career—to attract him before retirement, capitalizing on his extensive experience and stability in recent years, which makes him an appealing option for major clubs.
