Jurčić: Winning Both Matches Does Not Absolutely Guarantee Qualification to the Next Round
Kronoslav Jurčić, the head coach of Pyramids, emphasized that winning against Power Dynamos does not guarantee qualification to the next round of the CAF Champions League.
Pyramids defeated Power Dynamos today, Saturday, with a 1-0 victory in the second round of the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
Yurtseich said in the post-match press conference: "I expected a tough match from Power Dynamos; they are a distinguished team, especially on their home ground, and they have a group of important players in certain positions who are capable of playing for big clubs."
He added: "This victory has placed the team in an excellent position in the competition for a qualifying spot in the next round of the tournament."
He continued: "Winning the two matches does not at all guarantee qualification because the journey has many variables and the tournament is tough. Everyone saw what happened in the match between Renaissance Berkane and Rivers United, with the late victory."
He concluded: "There is no time to rest; we will return to Cairo to prepare for a league match in two days, and we must win it to continue the local campaign with full strength."
